Irresponsibility. What a personal strategy should be.

Finally, there is a very small but noticeable number of people who are familiar with the concept of personal strategy and have built it for themselves quite consciously.

As a rule, they are noticeably more successful than those who developed such strategies spontaneously and haphazardly.

However, consciousness in itself does not guarantee that the strategy does not have serious shortcomings that significantly reduce its effectiveness.
The most common problem of such strategies is declarative and superficial. They are drafted as if someone else is to implement them. Or implementation is not required in principle. Strange as it may seem, this approach is characteristic of people who work professionally with different strategies: managers and entrepreneurs. They build a personal strategy in the same way as a strategy for launching a new product on the market or developing a corporation.

But there is a fundamental difference between corporate and personal strategies.

The former do not need to be detailed. Business, let alone a corporation, is a complex system capable of independent development. To give it a new vector of movement, it is enough to formulate a set of relevant goals, designate metrics and basic approaches to their achievement. It already has all the infrastructure necessary for their realization. Ideas are more important for a corporation, and the executors will be found.

Personal strategy is a different matter.

It is the core around which your whole life is built.

Its realization cannot be delegated — just as you cannot entrust someone to live your life for you.

That is why building a personal strategy should not be treated irresponsibly. On the contrary, it should be taken as seriously and carefully as possible.
